There seems to be some confusion about spam. If a spammer follows you, it really does not matter all that much. It is when you follow a spammer that you will be subjected to their content-until you unfollow. Spam accounts following you are not gathering information in that way. If they want to gather information, they use Twitter search and even an account you blocked can find information about you and anyone else there. The only information that is not available in Twitter search is protected updates and those who are “gone from search”. (See article) Even an account that you blocked can go to your page and read your updates, unless they are “protected”, but protecting your updates seriously limits your ability to gain followers, so what to do?

“Food is the most universal language of design”*

At the most basic level, designers reconfigure objects to bring out their aesthetic, utilitarian, and/or meaningful qualities. These objects, more often than not, are for necessary, everyday use and nothing is more necessary than food, nothing more everyday than Jell-O.

Yes, Jell-O. What was once a dessert of jiggling, artful decadence has now been rendered flat or at most, a wiggling cube on a Styrofoam tray at the end of a buffet line to be picked up by some nostalgic lunch patron. This isn’t good enough for an American icon!

In these somber times of restraint, of reigning in and reallocating, we need a resurgence of steady wobble that won’t let us down. In short, it’s time for a comeback of the Jell-O proportions of old: soaring heights, strange colors, object suspension! Jell-O is the perfect medium for design reinvention given its versatility, economy, and availability. To this end, the Gowanus Studio Space is asking designers to take Jell-O out of the cafeteria and break the mold, as it were, on Jell-O molds.

http://www.gowanusstudio.org/jello/index.html

Kudawara Pharmacy has a logo that is based on the letter “K”. I understand that a simple “K” is not a logo but the small circles at the superior extremities didn’t make it a logo either. I am very curious, what happens in this pharmacy? Doggy style?

Make no mistake, creating a logo is no easy task. It implies using technology and specialized software but at the same time it’s a form of art and art is very subjective to say the least. Very often a logo designer adheres to all the rules and principles of design in his project but the final result is not agreeable to the client.

In keeping with Murphy’s laws a sketch that has no obvious connection with professional design is considered to be the best logo ever by a client. Could this be possible? You will ask …unfortunately yes. Not everyone is born to be a logo designer but sometimes random people come up with logos even if they are not qualified for that job (in this category I do not include students or beginners, who’ve had some training).

http://scarletbits.com/2010/top-13-worst-vs-13-best-logos/
